Be a Forest Superhero Explorer!
Wriggle over to the Kimberley Nordic Club this summer and explore the Superworm Story Trail presented by the Kimberley Public Library. Based on the children’s picture book Superworm, written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, the trail highlights the superhero adventures of lovable characters such as toad, beetle and Wizard Lizard, on brightly illustrated and interactive storyboards along the way.
The 1km self-led loop is perfect for young explorers to discover the minibeast superheroes of the forest around them and engage in the wonder of the woods at the Kimberley Nordic Club.
Jean Miller, Outreach Coordinator at Kimberley Public Library says:
“Following the success and popularity of the Gruffalo Story Ski this past winter, this fun trail offers an engaging and free summer activity for curious kids to learn about the amazing bugs and minibeasts in the forest, just like the much loved creatures in the Superworm book. The short and easy trail is perfect for children aged 4-8 years old, but everyone is welcome, and it can be enjoyed on foot or bike.”
The Superworm Story Trail starts on July 1st at the Kimberley Nordic Club and flagged storyboards begin at the main entrance to the trails.
