Winter Storyboard at the Kimberley Nordic Club
Monday December 23
5, 4, 3, 2, 1… BLAST OFF!
This winter, join us for the third annual Story Ski Adventure, ‘Marshmallows for Martians’, proudly presented by the Kimberley Public Library and Kimberley Nordic Club.
Join George, the fearless explorer, in his homemade rocket and map of stars, as he blasts into space on a mission to Mars!
‘Marshmallows for Martians’, written by Adam and Charlotte Guillain and illustrated by Lee Wildish, is the perfect rhyming read aloud book for children aged 3 plus, especially ones who like space, aliens and candy!
This early learning years literacy project, in partnership with the Kimberley Nordic Club, is an engaging and interactive way to combine reading with outdoor exploration.
As participants glide along a designated trail, they encounter pages from a children’s book strategically placed at intervals. Each page reveals a part of the story, encouraging readers to move forward and discover what happens next.
The planned opening date is December 22/23 and the Story Ski is available to enjoy all winter long. All participants are invited to zoom over to Planet Library (a.k.a. the Kimberley Public Library) for an intergalactic sticker when their mission is complete!
