Outdoor Adventure Kits at the Kimberley Library:
The Kimberley Library is proud to present the outdoor adventure kits in partnership with Wildsight Education and CBAL. On March 5th 2024, we are excited to launch our amazing Spring edition which is all about “Birds”.
Each kit contains hands-on resources, colourful and instructive books, id guides and binoculars to help you explore your backyard & beyond!
Kits can be checked out with your Kimberley Library card and are suitable for children in Grade K-7. We also have 1 kit available for pre-kindergarten children.
The idea behind these kits is to offer our patrons the chance to combine a visit to the Kimberley Library with the opportunity to get outside and to interactively explore and learn about our surroundings. All that is needed is a library card and a sense of curiosity! And maybe some rain boots for puddle jumping!
Our collaboration with Wildsight enhances Kimberley Library’s environmental literacy initiatives. In addition to the seasonal Outdoor Adventure Kits, we offer regular nature inspired story and activity times with Jill Jennings from the Wildsight Education team. https://wildsight.ca/people/jill-jennings/
